X-Cel empowers underserved youth and adults to pursue their careers of choice. Every element of our programming is designed to eliminate barriers to educational progression.

X-Cel is a 501(c)3 organization. Your donations to our organization are tax-deductible.

We continue to seek funding to expand our HiSET Prep and college prep classes to serve more low-income Boston out-of-school youth and adults who lack a high school credential. Please consider supporting our program by making a financial contribution.

• $100 covers the cost to take the test for one student in need

• $100 covers the cost for one student for one month

• $30 a month (for 12 months) will pay for one semester of HiSET Prep classes for one student

Volunteer

Want to help eliminate the educational barriers that inhibit college enrollment and career advancement for Greater Boston adults? X-Cel tutors work with aspiring health care professionals, criminal investigators, engineers, and accountants (to name a few) who are preparing for Massachusetts' high school equivalency test. We have a number of opportunities to volunteer with our students at our various sites, and always appreciate additional support. 

If you are a Boston Cares member you may join via one of our volunteer opportunities. Signing up is not required and walk-in volunteers are always welcomed.
