X-Cel provides FREE classes!

We provide free classes to students who are in pursuit of obtaining their high school equivalency credentials. Our curriculum is individualized to meet each student’s educational needs. We have rolling admissions and all of our classes are in person. You must be at least 18 years old. To make an appointment call (617-504-6261)

Our classes are structured to prepare individuals to pass the HiSET exam, formerly known as the GED test.

What does HiSET stand for?

HiSET stands for “High School Equivalency Test”. The HiSET exam measures whether you have achieved a level of academic accomplishment equivalent to having graduated from high school. The HiSET test is composed of five different subjects which include Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science and Math.

Our dedicatied instructors and volunteers help prepare our students to pass all five subjects. We provide a traditional classroom setting and also one on one tutoring depending on the availability of our volunteers and staff. All classes are always free.
